Best practices
Harriet Kunene,
TASC head of programms
TASC wishes to assure the
nation to continue to lead in best practices in: HIV and AIDS education and
monitoring condom distribution, counseling and testing, which
is a gateway to prevention, treatment, care and support; rolling out
HIV and AIDS activities to rural communities around the
country; training of various cadres of service providers such as HTC-VCT
counselors, psychosocial support counselors, community based
peer educators and counselors and monitoring and evaluation of
service provision.
Up scaling of TASC HIV and AIDS activities
To strengthen the existing
services, TASC focuses on including HIV & TG co-infection
management; ART integration; continue with Psychosocial and legal support
to clients. The above areas of strengthening will be carried
out both at urban and grassroots community settings.
Dwindling donor funding to
support HIV and AIDS interventions inclusive of service providers
continues to remain a challenge for nongovernmental institutions in the country.
